Mr. Eduard Garneau and Mr. Sean Garneau traveled w/ Master Neidig, Mrs. Neidig and Mr. Avila (and family) to the event.
Sparring and patterns competitions were held on Friday, June 26. During these events, the Garneaus competed at very high levels. Mr. Ed Garneau fought in the Mens black belt division and won his first match but lost is second match to Mr. Archer (who eventually won gold on Saturday).
Mr. Sean Garneau fought twice on Friday and won both matches. One more match was held on Saturday for 3rd place in the Juniors Red and Black belt division. This was a hard fought match, but in the end a fourth place was destined.
We are extremely proud of both our fighters and their performance in the sparring competitions.
Mr. Sean Garneau competed in the Junior Red and Black patterns. In this endeavour he found success after success.
At the end of the day, Mr. Sean Garneau was awarded 3rd place and is the first ever Trinity Taekwon-Do NATIONAL CHAMPION! This is a accomplishment that will be remembered for a long time and we fully expect great things from Mr. Garneau in the 2011 Nationals (to be held in Denver).
